Feeling jealous, Danny goes to talk to Sandy and explain the “image” he has to keep with the T-birds and not really how he feels about her. Still scorned, Sandy interrupts him and says that she glad that Tom is a “simple person”. Just as she says that, she waved at him. Tom uneasily waves back as he sees him with Danny, whom he is not on friendly terms with.
