Clarity June "Sandy" Young (last names were originally "Olsen" in the film and "Dumbrowski" in the musical) is a main character in the 2016 live production of Grease. She is portrayed by Julianne Hough.
Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Sandy is a transfer student to Rydell High. She met Danny Zuko, while on summer holiday and fell in love.
Sandy has very strict parents, who won't let her go out, like the rest of the kids at Rydell.
She becomes fast friends with Pink Lady, Frenchy upon arrival.
